·3 mins

Shopping at Wenceslas Square #

As our final day in Prague dawned, we felt a bittersweet mix of excitement and nostalgia. Determined to make the most of our remaining time, we started our day with a return to Wenceslas Square, a bustling hub we had explored on our second day. This time, our mission was clear: shopping! The square was alive with activity, and we enjoyed perusing the various shops, searching for the perfect souvenirs to take home.

Discovering a Vintage Gem #

In a stroke of luck, we stumbled upon an affordable vintage store within walking distance of Wenceslas Square. This hidden gem offered unique and charming items, perfect for those looking for something special. Laden with our newfound treasures, we made our way back to the hotel to drop off our purchases, eager to continue our day’s adventure.

A Leisurely Park Break #

Before heading back to the hotel, we took a pleasant detour to a nearby park. We picked up some treats from a local bakery and enjoyed a leisurely break amidst the green surroundings. The park was bustling with a lively market, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy our snacks, and soak in the local culture.

Fun at IAM Illusion Art Museum #

Next on our itinerary was a visit to the IAM Illusion Art Museum Prague. This museum proved to be a delightful experience for both the kids and the adults. The interactive art installations and optical illusions provided endless entertainment and amazement. We laughed, posed for photos, and marveled at the creative displays that played tricks on our eyes and minds.

Contemporary Art at DOX Centre #

Feeling inspired by the playful art, we decided it was time for some contemporary creativity. We hopped on a tram and headed to the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art.

The Gulliver Zeppelin in the DOX

This museum was a feast for the senses, filled with thought-provoking pieces and innovative exhibits. A highlight of our visit was the section dedicated to Franz Kafka, which was a pleasant surprise since we had missed the Kafka Museum the previous day. The exploration of Kafka’s world through modern art was both intriguing and enlightening.

Traditional Czech Farewell Dinner #

After immersing ourselves in art, it was time to satisfy our hunger. We chose a traditional Czech restaurant, Pivnice Štupartská, for our farewell dinner. The menu was a delightful array of local dishes, and we eagerly ordered Gulasch and dumplings, a true Czech classic. The vegetarian in our group had fewer options but enjoyed the dinner. The meal was complemented by excellent Czech beer, making it a perfect conclusion to our culinary journey in Prague.

Evening Stroll Through Old City #

With our bellies full and spirits high, we took a leisurely stroll through the old city. The charm of Prague in the evening, with its historic buildings and vibrant atmosphere, made for a memorable final walk. As the sun set and the city lights began to twinkle, we felt a deep appreciation for the beauty and vibrancy of Prague.

Farewell to Prague #

As we prepared to bid farewell to this enchanting city, we reflected on the incredible experiences we had over the past four days. From the rich history and stunning architecture to the vibrant art and delicious food, Prague had captured our hearts. We left with a promise to return, knowing that there is always more to discover in this wonderful city.
